The Chevron Preservation Maintenance Facility and Airbase is located in Galliano, Louisiana. This airbase was relocated from Leeville, Louisiana to preserve assets within the protection of the levee system. This project is constructed on an 80 acre site owned and developed by Grand Isle Shipyard, and consists of an airbase with fueling capabilities, an 18,000 sq. ft. hanger with an AFFF fire suppression system, a 50 man bunkhouse, a 20,000 sq. ft. terminal building, and future plans for expansion of the parking pad area, an additional hanger building, and an IT building. YKM’s designs included the design of the fueling distribution system for the heliport, including the piping and control systems, and HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for the bunkhouse, hanger, and terminal buildings.
